Argentina Recycling Tour: Record of Recycling Titanium Mesh Waste from Chlor-Alkali Plant Electrolytic Cell

Introduction

During this Argentina recycling tour, we went deep into the core of the chlor-alkali plant - the electrolytic cell equipment, and launched a far-reaching recycling operation for the titanium mesh waste generated therein.

As one of the foundations of the chemical industry, the chlor-alkali industry produces chlorine, hydrogen and sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) by electrolyzing brine (sodium chloride solution). In this process, the electrolytic cell is the core equipment, and the titanium mesh is widely used as the cathode or anode support material in the electrolytic cell due to its excellent corrosion resistance, conductivity and mechanical strength. However, as the production cycle is extended, the titanium mesh will be replaced due to corrosion, wear or technology upgrades, resulting in a large amount of titanium mesh waste.

Set off with a good mood: Arrived in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina

On January 16, our expert Marco successfully arrived in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. At 10 pm, customer Jully was already at the terminal to pick us up. We sincerely thanked Jully for his hospitality and then sent us back to the hotel. We arrived at his factory the next day.

After in-depth communication with customer Jully, we clarified the recycling process, waste handover method and the rights and obligations of both parties, ensuring the smooth progress of the recycling operation.

Recycling process

‌On-site assessment‌: After the recycling team arrived at the factory, they first conducted an on-site assessment of the titanium mesh waste in the electrolytic cell, including the quantity, specifications, and degree of contamination of the waste, which provided a basis for subsequent processing.

Waste disassembly‌: Under the guidance of professionals, we adopted a safe and efficient disassembly method to safely separate the titanium mesh waste from the electrolytic cell, ensuring the safety of personnel and the integrity of equipment during the disassembly process.

‌Classification‌: The dismantled titanium mesh waste was classified according to specifications and materials, and packaged with special packaging materials to prevent contamination or damage during transportation.

The entire waste recycling process was very smooth, and a total of 15 tons of waste was collected. Thank you Jully for recognizing the work of our experts.

A win-win situation for environmental protection and economic benefits

This Argentina recycling trip - the recycling of titanium mesh waste from the electrolytic cell of the chlor-alkali plant not only effectively reduced the discharge of industrial waste and reduced the risk of environmental pollution, but also brought significant economic benefits to the company through the reuse of resources.

Conclusion

Argentina recycling trip - the recycling of titanium mesh waste from the electrolytic cell of the chlor-alkali plant is not only a rescue operation for rare metal resources, but also a profound practice of environmental protection concepts. We firmly believe that through continuous exploration and practice, the recycling of resources will become an important force to promote the sustainable development of industry and contribute more wisdom and strength to the green future of the earth.
